Casey Harshbarger is truly a guitarist's guitarist. He loves all aspects of the guitar from classical to folk to new age to jazz to electric & everything else in between! He has been playing guitar since he was 12 years & has a deep love for music in general. Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in music from Kent State University in 1994 gave Casey a unique perspective on music theory & history & also helped in his quest to become a guitar teacher to spread the gospel of guitar!! An active player on the local Indy music scene, Casey participated in Guitar Center's Guitarmageddon contest in 2003 & took home first prize at the Indianapolis store. He went on to compete in the regional finals at Chicago's House of Blues & had a great time playing & watching other great players perform. Though he didn't come home with top honors, it was a great experience and a ton of fun! Casey also works as a studio musician & has worked with some tremendous R&B talent over the years.

Casey has played in several different bands in his career all while writing his own music. Instrumental guitar music has always been his first love. Guitarists like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Eddie Van Halen, etc. have inspired him & legions of guitarists everywhere to become better players. Other influences include David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Jimmy Page(Led Zeppelin), Eric Clapton, & of course Jimi Hendrix!! Pretty much anyone who plays music of any kind has had a hand in influencing Casey. Classical music also plays an important role in his style & composers such as Bach , Mozart , Stravinsky , etc. have influenced him & in how he writes music.

As a musician, guitarist, & a composer, Casey is constantly evolving & will continue to contribute music to entice & delight guitar fans everywhere!!
